Visa can be obtained on Arrival for 30 days stay. Fee is US $ 25. It can be extended 1 (one) time for another 30 (thirty) days, and cannot be transferred to another type of visa. You need to have a Hotel confirmation. Embassy recommends that the visa be obtained in India itself.

  • The Applicant should have a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of application for the visa.
  • An introductory letter from the company or firm in India, indicating purpose of visit, organisation to be visited and duration of purposed stay.
  • A letter of invitation from the associates in Indonesia, confirming that they will bear the expenses while passenger is in Indonesia, this should be faxed directly to the Embassy.
  • One visa form (the form should be photocopied back to back).
  • Two passport-size photographs with red back ground.
  • Original birth certificate for the passengers, which are below 18 years.
  • Confirmed onward/ return air ticket. onward visa.
  • Bank statements for last 3 months.
  • Hotel confirmation from Indonesia and proof of funds (USD 1000 must be endorsed on the passport).
  • Visa is valid for 90 days with a maximum stay of 60 days.
  • All the Visa applicants are hereby informed that the processing of Visa will take two working days from the date of submission provided the documents are in order. Please make note that Visas will not be issued on urgent basis.

Note: Embassy has the authority to issue only single entry visa. If Multiple entry visa is required then you need to have a approval from the Immigration Department Indonesia. Also attach two photocopies with the documents.
Note. All visa fee should be paid in form of a Bank Draft in favour of “Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia”, Payable in New Delhi.

Starting from August 2005, the Indonesian government has granted the visa on arrival on facility, which allows citizens from following countries to avail visa on arrival facility at the designed “International Gateway” at 15 airports and 21 seaports.

The eligible 52 countries are:

Argentina, Australia, Austria , Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Canada, Cyprus, 11. Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary , Iceland, India, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Laos, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Maldives, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, Oman RRC, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Surinam, Taiwan, The Netherland, United Arab Emirate, United Kingdom, United States of America

From 28 May 2007, Indonesia has added 11 more countries to the previous 52 other countries, which are offered Visa on Arrival including Algeria, the Czech Republic, Fiji, Latvia, Libya, Lithuania, Panama, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Tunisia.

Tourists from the aforementioned countries can easily purchase a visa on arrival at any of the 15 gates of Indonesia's international airports and seaports, and they won’t have to apply for a visa.

Following are the requirements for a 30 or 7 days day visa-on arrival:

  • Passport must be from one of the countries listed above
  • Passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 (six) months from the date of entry into Indonesia
  • Onward or return tickets are compulsory
  • Visitors must enter and exit through one of the 15 airports or 21 seaports officially approved as an “international Gateway” by the Indonesian Immigration department

Moreover, following 11 countries and territories are eligible for a "Visa Free" facility. Valid passport holders from these countries are offered a non-extendable 30-day Visa-Free Short Visit Permit upon arrival in Singapore.
